Yup, that’s me about 5 years ago when I started my real estate career, notice the tight skin and brown hair. At that time I had survive 17 cold winter years in Michigan where I grew up. Some of my family is still there today including my older Brother Matt. You can call him Boss. I moved down to Atlanta right before the Olympics. What a city! Little large for me, traffic was a killer. After attending Georgia Tech, I worked for an entertainment company who moved me from city to city opening up new venues. I was the lead trainer of one of the several departments, which worked well for me. This entertainment Company moved me one last time to Miami before they stopped opening new locations. That is how I made it to Florida. Since I left they have not opened but one or two new locations that I have noticed. That was a fun job, but not a career I could sustain. Came to Orlando about a decade ago and have been a “Florida local” ever since.
The above picture was taken to work with my now wife Megan. We were in our Mid 20s. After moving to Orlando I had been self employed for some time, working with my Father who is a public speaker in Sales Training Solutions. You can check him out at ShortcutstoResults.com. At the time the real estate market was booming. I’m sure everyone has seen those shows “House Hunters” and “What’s my Home Worth?”, along with many other HGTV Shows. Megan Became a REALTOR with a broker in Orlando and Romanticized that it was just like on TV. Well, we soon found out nothing is actually as it is on TV. Real Estate is HARD.
Here I come with my Real Estate license, young and energetic, about a year after Megan first received her license. I enter as my Megan exits but managed to sell the first home in 30 days. That is quite a feat for a rookie Agent. Times continue and the market takes a turn. After we buy our first house 20% below the last sold in our desired neighborhood in Clermont,- WACK! Market takes a turn and there goes our equity just like the rest of Florida. Megan and I get Married a year or so later. About a year ago we end up selling our house way below what we paid for, pretty much like everyone else.
To the right is me now.
Yeah I got a little heavy. I married a beautiful Italian COOK, that’s what happens! Hair has a salt an pepper flava, but with that came a lot of experience. I have been working out though; you can see what is below the fold thanks to P90X by clicking here.
For the past 5 years in Real Estate I have had to learn how to work and SURVIVE. Only a hand full of agents makes it to 5 years, and I am happy to say I have made it and am here to stay.
Since being in Real Estate I have been a Multi-Million Dollar producer every year. Ongoing education and the ability to do Hundreds of evaluations a year has kept me savvy. My technical background and knowledge is better than 99.9% of agents. Most of this website was designed by me. I also host a number of community sites that you will find speckled through Google with my Teams Name on it.
I’m sure you did not sign on to this site to read about me, but the quick story may help explain a few things. First is my team that I work with. I have been blessed to be able to work closely with my family in the past years. My father and I have a close relationship with work. More recently I am graced to work with my adoring wife and my Mother Patti, who both do some tasks for us weekly. The agents that have trusted me enough to work with have been the backbone of not only this site but sanity as well.
When it comes to Real Estate it is always about location. Taking the Team approach we have been able to stay local, but cover a wide area. The Main office that my team and I belong to resides Directly in DownTown Orlando. We have a great view of the central lake Orlando is built around called Lake Eola. We are walking distance from Wall Street, great afternoon lunches and happy hour cocktails. Our second office is in Windermere. We are surrounded by Luxury Homes, Golf Courses, and the Butler Chain of Lakes. Just east of us is MetroWest area, currently a Great Investment area, with more foreclosures in Orlando than any other Zip code.
The Team Approach Benefits Buyers
Having a team of agents we are able to field prospective buyers with options. Since our main office is downtown and we do so many values weekly and monthly, that we know and understand current market conditions in many different locations. At first contact someone calling us to purchase a home usually does not know where exactly they want to be in Orlando. That’s OK, you can call us years before you are ready. Since it is their first call, I am able to speak about MANY locations, including Windermere, Winter Park, Belle Isle, or Clermont where live and do a lot of business. Want specific information about exclusive locations including Windsong, Bella Collina, or Reunion, land or built, members of my office were there when they first broke round. If you are only interested in condos- there is an app for that- or agent rather, in my office. Our office exclusively lists for The Vue at Lake Eola- we have a Penthouse still available!
Pro or Con for Sellers?
The great thing about only working a few neighborhoods for an agent is that they don’t have to learn the entire market. Localized Real Estate Agents take care of their 1 or 2 neighborhoods, sending out post cards monthly and you will see their sign or two. Listing with my team you still get the local individuality of a local Buyers agent- besides isn’t that why you are really using a local agent?! With the Team approach though, image you are an owner of a property in Carrington Estates of Legends. If a buyer is going to find your home, first they have to decide they want to live in Clermont, then Legends, then your home in particular. Working with the Michael Johnson’s Team we can take care of that for you. Currently we are working with over 500 buyers, MOST of which had no idea where they want to be when they get to Orlando. As a seller, it would benefit you to have us list and sell your property so we can best educate the buyers to locations and quickly sell your home for more money. Since value is determined by want and need, the more prospective buyers Looking at YOUR home the better price you will get in return.
